I'm trying to figure out the best place to put a center channel speaker. I was considering getting the ELAC 6.2 center to match my bookshelf speakers - https://www.amazon.com/ELAC-Debut-Center-Speaker-Black/dp/B07B4VCT99.
Could I use this sound bar adapter with this center?
It sounds like the Sonos Playbar wall mount kit is not sitting on the MM540s horizontal brace correctly. The MM540s horizontal brace needs to be mounted to the bottom slots of the Playbar wall mount kit. This will allow the handles to mount right behind the Playbar. I can definitely help guide you further if you send me a few pictures of how your Playbar is mounted. You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
You will need a universal soundbar attachment as the SoundTouch 300 has mounting holes on the bottom that require some type of L bracketing. There is also a Bose proprietary attachment that will also work. It is called the Bose soundxtra. If you choose to go with a universal attachment, instead of the one from Bose; I recommend the one in the link provided below.
The SBXL will work with the 36” sn3622n-e8 Vizio soundbar.
How would it attach to the 540 to allow me to continue to use the handle?
The Universal soundbar attachment, attaches to the back of the TV. So for example, during the installation you will attach the universal bracket between the back of the TV and the vertical brace on the MM540. You can then forego installing the MM540 horizontal brace and attach the handle to the universal bracket using (Screws, Washers, Nuts Etc...).
The second option would be to install the universal soundbar attachment as stated above and then attach the MM540 horizontal bracket to the back of the universal soundbar attachment. Once that is done, you can simply screw the handle into the MM540 horizontal bracket.
I would recommend purchasing the Sonos Playbar wall mount kit and using it in conjunction with the MM540 horizontal bracket. Basically, you would mount the Playbar wall mount kit to the MM540 horizontal attachment, you would then mount the Playbar to the wall mount kit.
This same scenario will also take place with the Sonos Beam, as you would need to mount the Beam wall mount kit to the MM540 attachment.
I believe your soundbar has mounting holes on the bottom. You will need to purchase a universal attachment like the one in the one in the link below.
Based on the the JBL soundbar, the SBXL will work with the MM340 and JBL Bar Studio 2.0 Soundbar.
The Bose Solo soundbar has very weird mounting holes/slots. This specific soundbar has it's mounting slots so close that it makes wall mounting easy, but mounting it to anything else fairly difficult.
The Bose solo has a wall mount kit that you must pair with our mount in order for it to work. You may need to slightly bore/drill out the holes on the wall mount kit to make them larger. This will allow you to mount the Bose Solo to the horizontal bracket, while still using the the pull down handle. This is for the MM540/MM700.
If you have the MM340, you will need to purchase a universal attachment, like the one in the link below.
